Online Casino Review – PlayOJO
As I continue my search for the best online casino out there, it is rare to come across a Casino which really threatens to derail the big established Casinos. But I think PlayOJO are destined to be one of the key players in the industry
As usual I need to let you know that on Beat The Casinos we only write about Online Casinos licensed to operate in the UK by the Gambling Commission. So, you know they are licensed, regulated and legitimate.
All reviews are one person’s opinion, but we try to look at the same criteria for all our reviews to keep it fair.
We will look at:
PlayOJO Casino Review - Background
PlayOJO are part of the eGaming Online (EGO) network of Casinos. They launched in 2017 with a nationwide TV campaign where they stressed the fact that they had no “wagering requirements” on their bonuses.
For more details see our article on how Casino bonuses work.
PlayOJO weren’t the first Casino to offer bonuses in Cash that you were free to withdraw, but it is fair to say that they have started a trend and more Casinos are following suit.
Their image is very much one of going against the grain. Doing things other Casinos don’t do. And being transparent about how their incentives work (which is unusual).
PlayOJO Casino Review - Choice of Games
PlayOJO are predominantly offering Slots and have a massive selection to choose from.
Unlike smaller Casinos, they are not tied down to one or two games providers and this means that if you already have a favourite Slot, then they almost certainly will have it.
Of course, they have a selection of the usual Casino games, including Poker, Blackjack and Roulette. With plenty of Live Dealer versions to choose from as well.
Not a great selection of Video Poker, it has to be said. With only 4 versions of “Joker Poker” that we could see.
PlayOJO Casino Review - Payment Options
As you would expect PlayOJO have a decent amount of payment options. From the usual Debit and Credit card option to PayPal, Netteller, Skrill and PaySafe.
They operate across multiple countries, so some options are different depending on where you live.
The minimum withdrawal amount is £20 which is higher than some of the more established Casinos, where £10 minimum is more common.
PlayOJO Casino Review - First Deposit Casino Bonus
As we mention, PlayOJO made a name for themselves with their “no wagering requirement” bonus.
Because of this, they offer bonuses generally, in free Spins rather than money.
They currently offer a First Deposit (or Welcome) Bonus of 1 free Spin for every £1 deposited – up to 50. The Spins are currently only playable on a specific game – Spina Colada.
(This information is correct as of 11th June 2018)
Although this may put some people off, in reality, being able to keep any cash you win on Spins is probably going to be more profitable than getting £200 with a 30x wagering requirement.
Of course, they will hope you stay and spend your winnings. But the choice is yours and at least you have one.
PlayOJO Casino Review - Ongoing Incentives
PlayOJO have a wide selection of ongoing incentives.
They give money back on every wager as part of their OJOPlus incentive. The percentage varies by game but any money you get back is, again, cash with no “wagering requirement”
They also have the OJO Wheel, where you are guaranteed a prize when you use free spins on it that you accumulate as “rewards”.
They have their own loyalty programme called “Club OJO” where you can move up levels depending on your spend up to the VIP level.
Each level has its own enhanced reward system.
PlayOJO Casino Review - Customer Service
As always, we can only judge the Customer Service of a Casino on our own experience.
We’ve never had the need to contact them. Their site is very clear and, as they pledge, all the bonuses and incentives are easy-to-understand.
They also have an excellent Blog with some interesting articles (which we may use as “inspiration”, actually).
PlayOJO Casino Review - Industry Awards
As we said, PlayOJO are pretty new to the market. However, they have already won the EGR Rising Star Award as well as a Casino Meister award for best new Casino at the end of 2017.
So, they are certainly getting noticed in the industry.
PlayOJO Casino Review - Summary & Score
I loved the PlayOJO ads last year. It’s definitely one of my pet hates that Casino Welcome Bonuses are like something from the Da Vinci code to decipher.
So, I was definitely interested in seeing what they had to offer. And I wasn’t disappointed.
As I mentioned there primary offering is Slots, which is something I only play occasionally. But they have a range of games that are second to none.
I’m excited to see what they come up with next.
